Dunks Donuts x Kured

The owner of Kured, Gilli Rozyneck, reached out to me in the Fall of 2020. She wanted to create a store on Charles street in Boston that was part art exhibition space, and part charcuterie business. Kured offers high end charcuterie boards, and collaborates with artists to promote their work in the space. I was the first artist to collaborate and show work at Kured. I made a 16x6ft installation piece that depicted two dragons connected by a rainbow. I also designed hats, two hoodies, two t-shirts and their charuterie packaging box.

Endless Doodle Jacket

From 2018 to 2021, the vast majority of the clothing I designed was 1/1 items made using fabric paint and leather paint. Through this work I developed a vocabulary of characters, symbols, and motifs that helped to define my design style. At the beginning of 2021, I wanted to make a product that both reflected my 1/1 clothing up to that point, and built upon it in a new direction. The Endless Doodle jacket is a manufactured item that is the fruit of that ambition. I made and sold thirty jackets. Each character was hand-drawn with pen and paper and then transferred to procreate so that they could be colored digitally. The majority of characters on the jacket were drawn and colored by myself, and the more true-to-life figures were drawn by Shane Leonard. The five digital drawings below the photos of the jacket contain most of the characters that end up on the item.

Upset Lab x Breaktime x Dunks Donuts

Two friends of mine from Boston College started their own clothing brand in 2021 called Upset Lab. They reached out to me in the Fall of that same year to design a T-shirt/ hoodie for their brand. Over the summer of 2021, I made a mural for a non-profit called Breaktime that works to end youth homelessness by providing professional skills training, financial advising, and transitional employment. The Upset Lab team and I chose to give our proceeds to the organization.

Uno The Activist Music Video “Ew”

In the summer of 2020, one of the creative directors for Uno The Activist named OsmoCapture reached out to me to help create artwork for a music video that would be part of Uno’s release for his album “8”. Osmo had seen my digital artwork online, including a drawing I did of Uno in the winter of 2019, and wanted me to be part of the project. My job was to create a digital artwork of Uno that would then be animated by Osmo for a music video. The first image in this series was the drawing of Uno I did in 2019 that grabbed Osmo’s attention, and the next image is the finalized artwork I sent that was the foundation for the music video. The full video is linked to the third image.

The Local School Book Design

Towards the end of the summer of 2021, fellow Boston College alum Colin Phelan asked me to make the cover of his soon to be published book "The Local School.” The book details Colin’s experience living in the home of a Bengali teacher, and a northern Indian truck driver. Colin’s abode served also as local school for individuals in the community who wanted to supplement their education. Through the story, Colin explores the uncommon friendship between the two men, and the meaning of education as a lifestyle rather than a chase to earn a degree. Colin asked me to read the book prior to making the cover. The cover is a scene from the book in which Colin enjoys a calm morning with his roommates Sanjit, the teacher, and Bajju the truck driver. I translated this scene into a 3x4 foot acrylic on canvas painting, that was then transferred to digital to complete the design process.

Clothing Design for Sports Innovation Lab

In the spring of 2022, Sports Innovation Lab, a market research consultant company, reached out to me to help with one of their projects. They asked me to make two designs that would be made into t-shirts. These designs would be offered as a reward to sports teams who chose to participate in a data collection survey. The survey would assist SIL in gathering information on sustainability in sports. Here are the designs that I made that are currently being made into clothing.

Namaste Cafe Graphic

In the spring of 2022, the owner of Fire & Stone Trattoria in Duxbury, MA reached out to me to do design work for a cafe that they are planning on opening this year called Namaste Cafe. They wanted me to focus my designs on a beach theme while also incorporating sustainability motifs. The scope of the project was very much open ended as it could involve a mural, packaging design, logo design and merchandise design. The graphic below will be used both for the company’s packaging and merchandise. The project is a work in progress and could involve more artwork.

Cover Art

Over the years I have been asked to make cover art for plenty of friends and musicians. Here are some of my favorites.

Unfinished/Discarded Design Concepts

For this section, I wanted to show some of the clothing design concepts that have either been put aside for future work, are works in progress, or discarded all together. These projects have either been commissioned by someone, or made for myself.
